Sam Houston State Adds To Roster On Signing Day

By  |

Eight top high school seniors have signed letters-of-intent to attend Sam Houston State and play women's soccer for head coach Tom Brown.

The group of signees includes six midfielders and two forwards.

"We had some trouble last year creating goal-scoring opportunities for more than Raquel (Bueno) and Luana (Miessa). With this group we are bringing in players who can create as well as score goals. We have improved our athleticism and especially our speed with this class.

"Our current players are working really hard during the off-season. This recruiting class will complement our returning players very well and create a team that is very enjoyable to watch in 2009."
