BRYAN -- The A&M Consolidated Lady Tiger soccer team posted a 2-nil win over Bryan in the first meeting in the Crosstown Showdown Friday night at Merrill Green Stadium.
Consol got on the board less than 5 minutes into the first half as Taylor Pounds uses her left foot and powers it past Bryan keeper Ana Meyer.
Meyer was able to keep the match close with a great save later in the first half off the foot of Pounds. And then in the 2nd half, Meyer again stops a Pounds kick from point blank range.
But moments later, Elena Mora will get the header over Meyer's out stretched arms and in the back of the goal for the Lady Tigers final goal of the game.
A&M Consolidated remains unbeaten and in first place in district 12-5A (5-0) and will travel to Killeen on Tuesday night to take on Harker Heights at 7:30.
