BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - A.J. Abrams and Damion James combined for 50 points, including 11 in overtime, to help Texas hold off
Colorado for an 85-76 win Saturday.
Abrams, who played all 45 minutes, finished with 29 points while
James chipped in 21 and 14 rebounds.
The Longhorns (17-7, 6-4 Big 12) outscored Colorado 13-4 in the
extra period and have now won two in a row after dropping three
James had a chance to win the game in regulation, but missed two
free throws with 1.6 seconds remaining.
The Buffaloes, who trailed by as many as 15 points, tied the
game at 72 when Jermyl Jackson-Wilson sank two free throws with 7.6
Cory Higgins led the Buffaloes (9-15, 1-9) in scoring with a
career-high 34 points, while Dwight Thorne II and Jackson-Wilson
each added 10.
Colorado has now dropped nine of its last 10 games.
