COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M women’s tennis team jumped six spots to No. 24 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association national rankings, released today. It marks A&M’s highest ranking since April 24, 2007, when the Aggies also were No. 24.

In addition, sophomore Morgan Frank (Oldsmar, Fla.) is a career-high No. 98 in this week’s ITA national singles rankings. Frank, who is 5-3 at No. 2 singles, was ranked No. 116 on Sept. 4, 2008, the only other time she has been listed in the ITA rankings.

The Aggies, 4-4 after defeating South Florida, 5-2, Friday in College Station, return to the courts Thursday to play host to former Southwest Conference-foe and 26th-ranked TCU (4-5). First serve has been moved up an hour to 5 p.m. at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center.

The match against the Horned Frogs is A&M’s final tune-up before beginning Big 12 Conference play at No. 38 Texas on Saturday in Austin. Match time against the Longhorns is 12 p.m. at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center, and a full point will be at stake in the State Farm Lone Star Showdown.
