A&M Polo To Get Shot At Three Peat

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA -- The Texas A&M men's polo team will get a chance to defend its national championship Saturday afternoon following a 20-14 win over Cornell in the Collegiate Polo Final Four.

Cornell came back in the 3rd chukker to tie the match at 12 being held at the University of Virginia Arena, but according to A&M Polo Head Coach Mike McCleary, "we blew them out of the ring in the last chukker and will now get a chance to defend our title."

The Aggie men have won 7 national championships in the club's history including the last two. If the Aggie men's polo team is going to get a chance to three-peat, they'll need to knock off the University of Virginia in their home arena.

"Virginia is a good team, and folks around here are predicting that they'll beat us on Saturday," ended McCleary.
