Bryan Baseball Teams Returns To Action With Win

By  |

Bryan -- The Bryan Viking baseball team beat Harker Heights 10 - 5 Friday night at the Viking Athletic Complex. It was the Vikings first game following the UIL's decision to let baseball and softball teams resume their season. The UIL suspended competition on April 29 due to concerns with the H1N1 virus.

The Knights scored two runs in the top of the first inning to take an early lead. Bryan would answer with five runs in their half of the second inning. Harker heights put up three runs in the third inning to tie the game at five. Bryan took the lead for good when Bryant Ervin scored on a balk in the fifth inning.

Bryan will travel to Belton Friday night to close out the regular season. First pitch is set for 7:00pm.
