HUNTSVILLE -- The A&M Consolidated Lady Tiger Softball team posted a 13-0 win over Tyler Lee Friday night in the opening round of the Class 5A playoffs.
Summer Groholski and Sarah Halliwell combine for a 5 inning perfect game. Groholski pitched 4 innings striking out 7, while Halliwell struck out the side in the 5th to complete the perfect game.
While Groholski and Halliwell didn't give up a hit or walk in the circle, Sarah Allison was perfect at the plate going 4 for 4 with 5 RBI's and 3 runs scored. The Junior shortstop has already committed to Sam Houston State and looked right at home at the Bearkat Softball Complex.
Allison had a bases loaded double in the 4th scoring Jordan Bettiol, Ashley Heritage and Sydney Parks to make the score 9-0.
Then in the 5th, Sarah hit her 5th homerun of the season, a 2 run shot over the fence in left completing the scoring in the 13-0 decision.
Lady Tigers have now won 16 of their last 17 games and will take on the winner between Carrollton Creekview and Garland Sachse in the area round of the playoffs next week.
