49ers sign Aggie Jerod-Eddie to practice squad

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The San Francisco 49ers have signed eight players to the practice squad.

Two former Stanford starters under coach Jim Harbaugh - safety Michael Thomas and defensive tackle Matthew Masifilo - were among San Francisco's signees announced Saturday. Seventh-round pick Cam Johnson out of Virginia also signed with the practice team.

The others were linebacker Michael Wilhoite, wide receiver Nathan Palmer, defensive tackle Tony Jerod-Eddie and offensive tackles Al Netter and Kenny Wiggins.
