Harvey 11 Year Olds Eliminated At State Little League Tournament
The Harvey 11 year old All Stars played Jasper Sunday evening at Faulkner Park and suffered a 19-7 loss.

TYLER -- The Harvey 11 year old All Stars played Jasper Sunday evening at Faulkner Park and suffered a 19-7 loss.
The defeat was the second of the tournament for the 11 year old boys from Harvey and eliminated them from the tournament.
Landon Little was the starting pitcher for Harvey and got off to a rough start. Jasper's Dustin Foshee lead off the game with a solo home run.
Later in the inning Ben Stover hit a 2 run home to give Jasper a 3-0 lead.
Harvey's Justin Burleson comes on in relief of Little
Harvey will answer with 5 runs in the home half of the first. Anthony Voneiff hits a RBI double scoring Ty Gibson. Landon Little will pick up an RBI with a single to right scoring Drew Baker to cut Jasper's lead to 3-2.
Justin Allen will tie the game at 3 with a ground out that scores Voneiff.
Trace Urquhart will give Harvey the lead on the single to left that will score Collin Beamonm who was courtesy running for Little.
Harvey will bat around in the first and when Ty Gibson comes to the plate a second time he'll get a RBI single scoring Slaydon to round out Harvey's scoring in the first.
Jasper will outscore Harvey 6-1 over the next 3 innings to take a 9-6 lead.
Burleson has a strike out on Jasper's first batter to start the second. Tyler Rui hits a single and is brought in by a bunt by Brock Yates. Voneiff starts off with his second stand up double but he is unable to score.
Jasper's Cole Medley swings at the first pitch and hits a triple. He scores on a single by Joshua Justice. Mark Watkins gets a single but is thrown out by Tyler Slaydon attempting to steal second. Brandon Warren reaches on a fielder's choice. Foshee's single scores Watkins and Warren scores on a wild pitch. Harvey's Justin Allen hits a double. Cody Jordan comes in for Urquhart and hits a single. Jordan is thrown out attempting to steal second but allows Allen to score. End of 3: Jasper 7, Harvey 6.
Ben Stover leads off the fourth for Jasper with a double. Cole Medley hits a 2-run homer on a full count. Justice gets a single but the gets out on a throw to third from left on Warren's hit. Voneiff gets a single but is unable to score. End of 4: Jasper 9, Harvey 6.
Tyler Ruiz leads off the top of the 5th with a single. Back at the top of the lineup, Foshee reaches on an error. With 2 outs and 2 on base and a 1;1 count, Ben Stover gets his second home run of the game. Drew Baker comes in to relieve Burleson who reached his maximum pitch count. Medley, Justice, and Mitchell all hit singles. Breandon Warren advanced on a walk which scores Medley. Justice scores on a wild pitch. Ruiz advanced on a walk. With bases loaded and 2 outs, Dustin Foshee hits a grand slam. Tyler Slaydon comes in to relieve Baker at the mound. Yates reached on an error. Stover, too, reached on an error and Yates scored. Urquhart ended the top of the 5th with catching Zane Delay's right-field pop fly. Tyler Slaydon advanced on a walk. Justin Allen hit a nice one to the center field fence but was thrown out in a run down trying to make it a double. But the run down allowed Slaydon to score. Final score: Jasper 19, Harvey 7. This was the second loss for Harvey and eliminates them from the tournament.
