COLLEGE STATION -- Texas A&M third baseman Blake Stouffer was named the Big 12 Co-Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.

Stouffer, a junior from San Antonio, continued his torrid pace at the plate after hitting .563 (9-for-16), with 10 RBI, four runs scored and three stolen bases last week.

He followed last week’s performance by hitting .533 (8-for-15) with 10 RBI, three runs scored, a triple, a home run, and three walks in the four A&M games this week.

He has driven in 20 runs in the last eight games and is hitting .548 (17-for-31) during that span.

Aaron Reza of Oklahoma hit .520 with 11 RBI to share the Player of the honors with Stouffer.

Heath Taylor, a junior lefty from Oklahoma, earned Pitcher of the Week honors after striking out 11 in 6 1/3 innings of relief against Uc-Riverside.

It was the second weekly award handed to an Aggie baseball player this year as senior Kyle Nicholson won Big 12 Pitcher of the Week honor seven days ago.
