HUNTSVILLE -- Heath Pugh and Jeremy Holzbach each produced two RBIs and the Bearkats scored six unearned runs on five Patriot errors as Sam Houston State defeated Dallas Baptist 9-6 in a non-conference game Tuesday at Don Sanders Stadium.

Stephen Spaugh (1-1) got the victory on the mound in relief. Stephen Price started and pitched the first four innings. Will Goodwin and Jacob Howard also worked in relief. Luke Prihoda picked up his fifth save of the season.

Sam Houston State will play host to Louisiana Tech in a three-game series this weekend.

Sam Houston stand 11-6 for the season, having won their last three games in a row. Dallas Baptist dropped to 8-7.
