OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- Mario Chalmers scored 16 points and as
Kansas held off a second-half charge from Kansas State to win
67-to-61 today and advance to the Big 12 championship game.

Julian Wright added 12 points, including a jumper with just over
a minute left that put the game out of reach.

Jayhawks.

Chalmers hit consecutive 3-pointers to give Kansas its first
double-digit lead of the game at 43-to-31 in the opening minutes of

But the Wildcats stayed in it by preventing Kansas from
extending its dominance on the boards. The Wildcats had a 23-to-13
rebounding edge in the second half and ended up with only three

Number 15 Texas or Oklahoma State.
