Niagara Falls to Top-Seeded Kansas

By: Associated Press

CHICAGO -- No first-round exit for Kansas this time. The top-seeded Jayhawks built a 25-point halftime lead and routed Niagara 107-67 in the West Regional.

Kansas has been sent to the sidelines by first-round losses against Bucknell and Bradley the last two seasons. But this Kansas team was too fast, too deep and too talented for the Purple Eagles. Kansas has won 12 in a row.

Mario Chalmers led the Jayhawks with 19. Charron Fisher paced 16th-seeded Niagara with 17.
