Green Not Mean Enough as Memphis Advances

NEW ORLEANS -- Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 16 points and second seed Memphis moved into the second round of the South Regional with a 73-58 win over North Texas at New Orleans.

Joey Dorsey and Robert Dozier also helped the Tigers earn their 23rd consecutive win. Dozier finished with eleven points and seven rebounds while Dorsey contributed nine points and a game-high 15 boards.

Andre Allen added 14 points as the Tigers improved to 31-and-4.

The Mean Green appeared to be in charge during the first half. They took a six-point lead and were ahead by four when Douglas-Roberts picked up his third foul with nine minutes left in the half. But the Tigers eventually went on a 12-to-2 run that gave them a nine-point halftime lead.

Calvin Watson had a team-high 13 points for North Texas, which ends up 23-and-11.
