Horns Fall In 2nd Round

SPOKANE, WA -- If Kevin Durant decides to leave college after one year, it will be without a championship -- or even a trip into the second week of the tournament.

Southern California booted Durant and his Texas Longhorns out of
the second round of the East Regionals, 87-to-68. Junior Nick Young
led the Trojans with 22. Daniel Hackett scored 20. Taj Gibson added
17 points and 14 boards.

Durant, a favorite to win national player of the year as a freshman, led everyone with 30 points and added nine rebounds for fourth-seeded Texas. The Longhorns finish 25-and-10.

The Trojans will make their first trip to the regional semis
since 2001 where they'll play North Carolina, top seed in the East.
