After the Aggies used seven pitchers in Saturday’s game, Nicholson was called upon again on Sunday when he was needed most. He entered to start the fifth with the Aggies trailing, 8-6. He allowed three hits, struck out two and walked one.

For the season Nicholson is 6-1 with a sparkling ERA of 0.79 in 45 1/3 innings. He has struck out 37 batters while issuing only seven free passes.
