The Blinn Buccaneer baseball team claimed sole posession of first place in conference with a doubleheader split with Alvin on Saturday to take the series 2-1. The Bucs dropped the first game 11-5 but came back to take the nightcap 7-3 to improve to 20-13 overall and 10-5 in conference play. This is the fifth consecutive conference series that the Bucs have won 2-1. Blinn returns to action on Wedensday in another important conference game when longtime rival San Jacinto travels to Brenahm for a 7:00 first pitch.
