Bears Bust Up Raiders

WACO, Texas (AP) - Buster Weems hit a two-run homer and a
two-run double in the fourth inning today to help lead Baylor to a
14-to-4 victory over Texas Tech.
The Bears (15-11, 2-4 Big 12) sent 16 batters to the plate and
scored 12 runs in the fourth to put the seven-inning game away.
Matt Czimskey had a three-run homer and scored another run on a
sacrifice fly by Paul Miles, Matt Sodolak had a single and an R-B-I
double and Aaron Miller had an R-B-I triple.
Roger Kieschnick homered for Tech (18-10, 3-3) in the sixth.
Jason Seefeld hit an R-B-I single and Kyle Martin added a two-run
homer in the seventh to cut the lead to 13-to-4.
Kendal Volz (3-1) took the victory. He allowed no runs on four
hits and struck out four in five innings.
Aaron Odom (3-3) took the loss after giving up eight runs on
nine hits in 3 and a third innings.
