COLLEGE STATION -- Around 100 Texas A&M students turned out for a grassroots yell practice this evening to show support for Aggie men's basketball coach Billy Gillispie, who's rumored to the University of Arkansas's leading candidate to replace Stan Heath.

The Razorbacks fired Heath on Monday after back to back NCAA tournament appearances and 20 win seasons.

The yell practice lasted for about 10 minutes until Colin Killian, A&M Associate Sports Information Director in charge of men's basketball told the crowd assembled outside the Koldus Building that Gillispie was out of the office.

The crowd dispersed following the announcement and many of the students headed over to Olsen Field where the Aggie baseball team is beginning a 4 game home stand starting with TCU tonight at 6:30 p.m.
