For the first time since preseason, the Blinn Buccaneers are not No. 1 in the NJCAA/JCFootball.com poll. Blinn relinquished the top spot to Southwest Junior College Football Conference foe Navarro College after losing to the Bulldogs 23-20 in Corsicana in the final game of the regular season. Fort Scott (KS) Community College moved into the No. 2 position after defeating Butler Community College to earn its first Jayhawk Conference regular season title in 35 years. Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College moved up to No. 3, bumping Blinn to No. 4.

Blinn will host the SWJCFC semifinal game against third seed Tyler Junior College on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Spencer Stadium. Tyler is ranked 14th with a 7-2 record having lost to Blinn, 60-31, and Navarro, 61-28. Undefeated Navarro will host fourth seed Kilgore College (4-5). The winners of this weekend’s games will play on Nov. 14.
