Durant Wins Wooden Award

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Texas freshman Kevin Durant has been named winner of the John R. Wooden Award.
The six-nine swingman easily won the award over Ohio State
freshman Greg Oden.
Texas A&M senior Acie Law was also a finalist for the award.
Durant is the first freshman to win the award
that goes to college basketball's player of the year. He also won
the Associated Press College Player of the Year award.
Tennessee's Candace Parker was named winner of Wooden award in
women's ball.
