Aggie Spring Game Provides Plenty Of Points

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Redshirt freshman tailback Cornell
Tarrant rushed for 117 yards to lead the White to a 27-13 win over
the Maroon in Texas A&M's spring scrimmage.
Tarrant broke off a a 66-yard touchdown run in the final minute.
The two teams combined for 388 rushing yards and 29 first downs.
The Aggies committed only six total penalties.
Franchione took a close look at backup quarterbacks Jerrod
Johnson and Ryan Tannehill.
A&M's defense was limited without starting defensive linemen
Chris Harrington and Red Bryant and starting linebacker Misi Tupe,
who sat out with injuries.
The game attracted a crowd of more than 24-thousand, despite
blustery conditions with temperatures in the low 50s.
