SEATTLE-- Adrian Beltre hit his first homer of the season and the Seattle Mariners overcame Sammy Sosa's 590th career homer
in an 8-to-3 win over the Texas Rangers.
Sosa hit his second homer since 2005 -- a two-run shot in the
sixth inning. Miguel Batista allowed three runs and five hits in
six and two-thirds innings to improve to 1-and-1.
Vicente Padilla pitched six innings for Texas but remained
winless. He's 0-and-3.
