THIBODAUX, La. - Third baseman Sarah Parich went 4-for-7 with five RBIs including a two-run triple for the winning runs in an 11-inning game in the nightcap as Sam Houston State defeated Nicholls State 8-0 and 7-4 in a Southland Conference softball doubleheader at Colonel Field Sunday afternoon.
The victories give Sam Houston State (23-19, SLC 12-6) a series victory over the Colonels who opened the series Saturday night with a 1-0 12-inning victory.
Morgan Mikulin (12-10), who pitched all 12 innings Saturday night in the

Tanya Hooser singled for another run, Parich's triple scored two, and Amy Brown singled to center field for the fifth RBI.
Nicholls State came back to score two in the bottom of the 11th but SHSU held on for the victory
