AUSTIN -- University of Texas regents today approved a 200 thousand dollar pay raise for Rick Barnes.
The raise boosts the salary of the Texas men's basketball coach
to two million dollars.
Barnes has led the Longhorns to the N-C-Double-A tournament in
each of his nine seasons.
Their best finish was a trip to the Final Four in 2003.
Texas went 25-and-ten last season behind freshman sensation
Kevin Durant, The Associated Press player of the year.
Last week, Durant announced he would leave the Longhorns to
enter the N-B-A draft.
