Caldwell Wins Overtime Thriller Over Cleveland 20 - 13
The Caldwell Hornets beat the Cleveland Indians 20 - 13 in overtime Friday night at Waller ISD Stadium.

Waller -- The Caldwell Hornets beat the Cleveland Indians 20 - 13 in overtime Friday night at Waller ISD Stadium. With the win the Hornets advance to the third round of the Class 3A playoffs.

Cleveland got the scoring started on a Doug Higginbotham 1 yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Caldwell evened the score on a D.J. Cumby 9 yard touchdown run. The game was tied at 6 at halftime.

The two teams traded second half scores. The Hornets took their first lead of the game on a Cumby 7 yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Cleveland answered in the fourth with a Jamaul Ross 7 yard touchdown pass to Cedric Reed. The game was go to overtime tied at 13.

Caldwell scored first in overtime. Kysan Woolverton found the end zone from 1 yard out. The Caldwell defense kept Cleavland out of the end zone to secure the win.

The Hornets will face Carthage in the Regional round. The Bulldogs beat Mexia 35 - 26 on Friday night.

hey Carthage already made plans with cold spring. they think they are going to play cold spring at the SFA field. so Caldwell I can't wait for you guys to disappointed them.
