ALVIN -- The Blinn softball team split a conference doubleheader in Alvin Wednesday afternoon. The Lady Bucs lost the first game 9-2 but came back to capture the nightcap 7-5.

The split makes Blinn 20-34 overall and 9-15 in conference play. The loss to Alvin if coupled with a Navarro win would eliminate Blinn from postseason consideration.

Blinn will close out the home portion of the season on Sunday when they face Lamar State in a conference doubleheader for "Sophomore Day" at Hohlt Park. First pitch is scheduled at Noon.
