MILWAUKEE (AP) - Dave Bush and Francisco Cordero combined on a six-hitter as Milwaukee beat the Astros 4-to-3.
Bush allowed three runs and five hits in eight-plus innings to
improve to 3-and-0 in his career against the Astros. Cordero nailed
down his seventh save to help Bush get to 2-and-1 on the season.
Bill Hall and Geoff Jenkins each had three hits and an R-B-I as
the Brewers prevented Roy Oswalt from winning his
tenth consecutive decision. Hall hit a solo homer in the fourth and
saved a run with a sliding catch in center field to end the first
inning.
The Astros didn't score until Lance Berkman doubled home a run
in the ninth.
Oswalt gave up four runs and seven hits in seven innings to fall
to 3-and-1.
