Weishuhn Leaves A&M Basketball Team

COLLEGE STATION -- Texas A&M forward Slade Weishuhn has left the Texas A&M men¹s basketball team because of chronic injuries, but will remain at the school to finish his degree. An agricultural economics, Weishuhn is on track to graduate in May 2008.

A 6-9 junior from Wall, Texas, Weishuhn played in eight games last season and scored two points against Lamar in the Shelby Metcalf Classic. He had an outstanding career at Class 2A Wall High School near San Angelo, where he earned second-team all-state and first-team all-region honors as a senior after averaging 20.2 points per game.
