The Blinn Buccaneers swept a conference doubleheader from visiting Alvin on a beautiful Saturday afternoon to also sweep the conference-ending series 3-0. The Bucs won the first game 5-1 and came from behind to win the second game 3-2 to up their winning streak to 15 consecutive games.

With the win, the Bucs improve to 35-17 overall and finish 22-8 in conference play. They also clinch at least a share of the conference championship and can win the title outright depending upon the outcome of the San Jacinto-Wharton series. If San Jacinto loses one game, the Bucs are the outright conference champion. If San Jacinto wins both, they and the Bucs share the title, but the Bucs will go into the regional tournament as the #2 seed as San Jacinto holds the tiebreaker over Blinn.

Blinn will now take a week off before traveling to Temple for a nonconfernece, regular season-ending doubleheader next Saturday.

Blinn will host the NJCAA Region XIV Tournament May 12-16 at Leroy Dreyer Field.
