INDIANAPOLIS -- Texas A&M will be seeded fifth in the NCAA Women's Golf East Regional May 10-12 at the University Golf Club in Baton Rouge, La.
The top eight teams and two individuals from each of the three regionals
will advance to the NCAA Championships May 22-25 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The Aggies are making their 13th NCAA appearance in 15 years under Coach Jeanne Sutherland, who is retiring at the end of the season. A&M is looking to advance to its fourth straight NCAA finals.
A&M captured its second consecutive Big 12 championship on April 18 in Waco.
Other teams in the East Regional (listed by seed) are Duke (1), UCLA (2), Auburn (3), Purdue (4), North Carolina (6), Alabama (7), Wake Forest (8), South Carolina (9), Virginia (10), Florida State (11), LSU (12), Louisville (13), South Florida (14), North Carolina State (15), Birmingham-Southern (16), Furman (17), College of Charleston (18), Western Carolina, Jacksonville State (20) and Jackson State (21).
Other Big 12 teams advancing to regionals are Baylor (Central), Missouri
(Central), Oklahoma State (West) and Nebraska (West). The Central Regional will be played in Ann Arbor, Mich., and the West Regional will be in St. George, Utah.
