Young Powers Rangers Past Jays

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Michael Young hit a solo homer in the
eighth inning to lift the Texas Rangers a 3-to-2 win and a
three-game sweep over the visiting Toronto Blue Jays.
Young's one-out homer in the eighth came on the first pitch from
A.J. Burnett, who drops to 2-and-3 with te loss. Mark Teixeira
and Kenny Lofton hit first-pitch homers off of
Burnett earlier in the game.
Toronto tied it with two outs in the top of the eighth on Adam
Lind's R-B-I single off Joaquin Benoit, who
nonetheless got the win to move to 1-and-1 on the year.
Akinori Otsuka got the last three outs for his fourth save in five chances.
Toronto ended its six-game road trip without a victory, only the
second time in club history the Blue Jays lost every game on a trip
that lasted at least six games. The other was in September 1979.
