AUSTIN -- Montgomery's Lisa McCloskey shot a 2-under-par 69 to run away with the girls' Class Four-A title by seven strokes.
McClosky's two-day total of 141 easily distanced her from the
field and second-place finisher Shannon Jungman (148) of
Pflugerville Hendrickson. The Montgomery (Purple) team won the Class 4A team championship as well with a 23 stroke win over Dallas Highland Park.
Meanwhile Adam Wennerstrom of Austin Lake Travis shot a 3-under par 68 today to win the Class Four-A boys' golf championship by one stroke.
Brax McCarthy of Fort Worth Arlington Heights made a strong bid
to tie and force a playoff with a 4-under 67 but finished one
stroke behind with a two-day total of 138.
In Class Two-A, Salado's Ryan O'Rear and Kelsey Kirkpatrick of
Alba-Golden won the boys' and girls' titles.
In One-A, Daniel Gibbins of La Rue La Poynor won the boys'
title. Chilton's Gabriella Dominguez won the girls' title, shooting
a final-round 3-under 68 to win by 12 strokes.
