AUSTIN -- Franklin's Austin Klores has kept alive the possibility of a high school grand slam. The junior headed to the state tournament this week as a two time defending state champion. You can now call Austin a 3 time champ.

Austin made quick work of Stanley Siu of Irving North Hills 6-1 and 6-2. Klores will attempt the rare high school tennis grand slam next year during his senior season.

That's not the only state championship that Franklin is bringing back home.

The Lions also struck gold in mixed doubles as Jake Russ and Kendra Casey beat Colby Welsh and Molly Welsh out of Peaster 6-1 and 6-1....

What is even more dominating about the Franklin State Championships won at the Lakeway World Tennis Center is that nobody dropped a set during the entire state tournament.
