HUNTSVILLE -- Clint Mann hit a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Sam Houston State a 3-1 victory in the first game of a doubleheader and Karl Krailo's two-run single in the seventh inning of the night cap helped the Bearkats come from behind for an 8-3 win as SHSU swept a Southland Conference doubleheader from Southeastern Louisiana Saturday.

Jacob Howard (10-4) was the game winner in the first contest, spreading nine hits over seven innings.

Luke Prihoda struck out three of the six batters he faced in the final two
innings to pick up his 15th save of the season, breaking the Southland
Conference record for saves in a season. The old record of 14 was set by Alex Velazquez of nNicholls State in 2000 and Jason Watkins of
Texas-Arlington in 1992.

Down 1-0, Sam Houston tied the game in the third inning as Todd Sebek
singled, stole second, was singled to third by Heath Pugh and then scored on a wild pitch.

Tim Gray (5-3) was the winning pitcher in the second game in relief. Jesse Marshall started, giving up a three-run home run by Xavier Qualls in the fourth inning to put Southeastern Louisiana up 3-0. Gray came in during the seventh inning, giving up only two hits. Zac Baker also pitched in relief.

Sebek's two-run home run and an RBI single by Keith Stein gave Sam Houston a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning.
