BRENHAM -- Blinn ran into the buzzsaw that is San Jacinto on Monday night in the battle of unbeaten teams at the NJCAA Region XIV Baseball Tournament. Blinn saw its 17 game win streak snapped in authoritative fashion as San Jacinto run-ruled its third consecutive victim en route to a 12-2 win in five innings.

Blinn suffers its first loss of the tournament and will face the winner of the Alvin-Texarkana elimination game later tonight. Blinn will play that game at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday and, if successful, would face San Jacinto again at 5:00 Tuesday night in the Championship Game.

Blinn falls to 37-18 on the year.
