Scarborough Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

COLLEGE STATION -- Texas A&M softball player Amanda Scarborough was named to the 2007 CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic Softball University Division All-District Team for the second consecutive year, the organization announced this week.

Scarborough, a junior from Magnolia, Texas, helped lead the nationally
ranked Aggies to their sixth consecutive NCAA postseason appearance
while earning Co-Big 12 Pitcher of the Year and All-Big 12 and Academic All-Big 12 first team accolades. She has also been named one of 11 finalists for the 6th Annual USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Award.

In the circle for A&M, Scarborough owns a 21-7 record, fanning 181
batters in 176.1 innings of work while allowing just 27 walks. At the
plate she is batting at a .317 clip while hitting, a team leading, 11
doubles, along with six home runs and 41 RBIs.
