OKLAHOMA CITY -- Nebraska scored single runs in the first,
third, fifth, sixth and eighth innings and held off Texas A-and-M
5-to-3 in the opening game of the Big 12 baseball tournament in
Oklahoma City.
The Cornhuskers' D-J Belfonte had three hits and scored twice
and Nebraska's Craig Corriston also scored two runs while Andy
Gerch drove in two in the win.
Tony Watson gave up two runs over five-and-a-third innings for
the win. Matt Foust gave up one run while going
three-and-two-thirds innings for the save.
