LONGVIEW -- The Bryan Lady Vikings won game 1 of their best of 3 series with Garland Friday evening 2-0, but lost the 2nd game of the double header in Longview Pinetree 2-0 forcing a 3rd and decisive game on Saturday at 7 back in Longview.

Katye Hamlin tossed a 3 hitter in game one, striking out 4 and didn't allow a walk. The Owls Tomi Garrison who beat Bryan twice last year in the regional semifinals allowed 6 walks and those free passes caught up with Garrison in the 3rd inning as Bryan scored twice.

Game two of the best of three series saw Bryan trail early and never threaten Owl's pitcher Tomi Garrison.

Game 3 of the series to decide who will advance to the Class 5A final four and the state tournament in Austin will be played Saturday night at 7 back at Longview Pinetree.
