Ags Win Big First XII Baseball Tourney

Texas A-and-M pounded out a season-high 20 hits today and cruised to a 14-to-6 win over Baylor in the title game of the Big 12 Baseball Tournament.
It was the first league tournament championship for the Aggies,
who improved to 44-and-16 on the season.
Shortstop Brandon Hicks went 4-for-5 with three R-B-Is to lead
the A-and-M attack, and catcher Craig Stinson went 4-for-6 with a
pair of R-B-Is. Stinson was named the tournament's Most Valuable
Player.
He finished 11-for-19 in the four tournament games with nine
R-B-Is.
The Aggies jumped to a 5-nothing lead in the second inning and
never trailed in the game.
Gary Campfield pitched four-and-a-third innings in relief of
starter Scott Migl, allowing just one run en route to teh win.
Wade Mackey took the loss for the Bears.
With the victory, Texas A-and-M will advance to host an
N-C-double-A Regional in College Station starting on Friday.
