A's Hand Rangers 6-1 Loss

OAKLAND, CA -- Oakland's emerging pitching ace got lots of hitting help today in a 6-to-1 Athletics win over Texas.

Dan Haren won his sixth straight decision and lowered his earned
run average to a league-leading one-point-64. He gave up four hits
in eight innings.

Dan Johnson drove in three runs with a two-run triple and
sacrifice fly. Milton Bradley doubled in a run in his first game
off the disabled list.

Shannon Stewart, Nick Swisher and Bobby Crosby also hit doubles.

The Rangers Sammy Sosa was hitless in four at-bats and remains
two home runs from becoming the fifth player to reach the 600

John Karonka was the losing pitcher in his first game since
being called up from the minors.
