HOUSTON (AP) - Austin Adams hit an R-B-I single and Matt McGuirk
added a grand slam as T-C-U rallied with seven runs in the ninth to
defeat Baylor 10-to-5 today in the N-C-double-A tournament regional
in Houston.
Ben Carruthers started the rally for T-C-U with a single.
McGuirk, who came into the game in the eighth, picked up his fifth
homer of the season with the grand slam to right field.
Randall Linebaugh, who had retired 13 straight before
Carruthers' single to start the ninth, was replaced by Nick
Cassavechia, who gave up six runs in one inning.
Raynor Campbell went 3-for-4 for the Bears. He doubled in the
fifth and homered in the seventh.
