PITTSBURGH -- Gerald Laird, Jerry Hairston Junior and Travis
Metcalf homered and the Texas Rangers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates
6-to-0 to snap their three-game losing streak.
Kameron Loe threw eight shutout innings to improve to 2-and-6.
Loe did not permit a runner to reach third base.
Metcalf's first major league hit was a home run to left to lead
off the sixth off Pirates starter Tom Gorzelanny, who fell to
6-and-4.
