HOUSTON -- Craig Biggio hit a three-run homer to back Woody Williams' strong pitching and the Houston Astros beat Seattle 9-to-4. That's the Mariners' fourth straight loss.
Williams is 3-and-9 with the win. He pitched into the seventh
and allowed four runs and eight hits. Williams retired 12 of the
first 14 batters he faced.
Mariners starter Cha Seung Baek is 3-and-3 with the loss. He
lasted only four innings and gave up seven runs on nine hits and
two walks.
