Cubs Win Series Opener In Arlington

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Derek Lee went 2-for-5, including an R-B-I double that snapped a four-all tie in the sixth. He was in the lineup after appealing the five-game suspension he received for fighting San Diego pitcher Chris Young last weekend.
Sosa remains stuck at 599 homers after going 0-for-4 with three
strikeouts against his former team. Sosa has just one rount-tripper
in the past 21 games.
Felix Pie laced a two-run triple in the win.
The Cubs' bullpen tossed five no-hit innings after the Rangers
hit three homers off Sean Mashall. Ian Kinsler hit a two-run shot
that tied the game in the fifth. Kinsler and Brad Wilkerson also
hit solo shots.
Carlos Marmol threw three perfect innings of relief to get to
2-and-0. Ryan Dempster picked up his 16th save and Joaquin Benoit
dipped to 2-and-2.
