HUNTSVILLE -- The East Texas Thunder 14-under fastpitch tournament softball team competed in the USFA South Texas State Tournament in Conroe on June 23-24.

The girls, from the surrounding areas of Huntsville, New Waverly, Conroe and Magnolia, won the 1st place state championship trophy in the 14-under “B” and also qualified for Nationals which will be held in the Dallas Metro area on July 22-28.

The players, coaches, and parents would again like to thank all of the team’s sponsors, Doughtie Construction and Hillcrest Ford-Lincoln-Mercury, for their support of these girls throughout the season.
