DETROIT (AP) - Heavy rain caused today's game between the Texas Rangers and the Detroit Tigers to be rained out in Detroit.
The decision to call the game cane an hour and 26 minutes after
the scheduled 1:05 p-m (Eastern time) start.
Detroit rescheduled the game as part of a September eleventh
day-night doubleheader.
Kenny Rogers, Detroit's scheduled starter, was one of seven
starting pitches age 40 or older who were slated to pitch today.
