ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Texas Rangers activated right-hander
Brandon McCarthy today and put second baseman Ian Kinsler on the
15-day disabled list with a left foot stress fracture.
McCarthy was sidelined by a blister on his right middle finger
and was scheduled to start tonight's series finale in Boston. He is
4-and-4 with a 5-point-9-0 E-R-A.
Kinsler's move was retroactive to June 29th. Hitting .241, he
has 14 home runs and 35 R-B-Is.
