AUSTIN -- Former Kentucky women's basketball coach Mickie
DeMoss was hired today as an assistant at Texas.
DeMoss had quit abruptly in April, saying she wanted to take a
break from the game after 30 years.
Her hiring completes coach Gail Goestenkors' staff. Goestenkors
was hired earlier this year to succeed Jody Conradt, who retired in
March.
Her appointment with the Longhorns is effective July 15.
