ARLINGTON, Texas -- Brad Wilkerson set career highs by
hitting three homers and collecting six R-B-Is while leading Texas
to an east 8-to-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels.
Wilkerson hit a three-run shot in the fourth, a solo blast in
the sixth and a two-run poke in the seventh to become the first
American Leaguer to homer three times in a game this season.
Winning pitcher Kevin Millwood went eight innings for the first
time this year, holding the Angeles to two runs and five hits to
get to 5-and-7. He retired 13 straight at one point before Vladimir
Guerrero's leadoff double in the seventh.
Angels starter Ervin Santana scored out a career-high eleven but
left the game trailing 4-to-2 in the sixth. Santana is 5-and-9.
Howie Kendrick hit a two-run single in the top of the second
before the Angels lost for the fifth time in seven games.
